I'm Arek, a Toronto-based recruiter with over twenty years of experience across financial services, technology, and cybersecurity. This is a bit about my work, and a few of the things I spend time on outside of it.
Over 20+ years, I've moved between agency, consulting, and embedded recruiting roles, always focused on technical and professional hiring, and always full-cycle from sourcing through offer.
Stepped into team leadership, guiding high-volume recruitment efforts and end-to-end hiring for cybersecurity and financial-sector clients across a global, multi-region practice.
Recruited for large enterprise technology and architecture accounts across Canada and the US, mentoring junior recruiters and managing account relationships along the way.
Focused on technical recruiting for banking, insurance, and financial industry clients, handling full-cycle sourcing, screening, and negotiation for permanent and contract roles.
Thirteen-plus years building the fundamentals of full life-cycle IT recruiting at a single organization, with a strong focus on technology recruiting for Canadian banks.
My recruitment career began in 1998, and it's the only field I've worked in since. Along the way I've built a reputation for reading people well, managing stakeholders effectively, and finding candidates others miss.
